Hi and welcome to my website. Finding a therapist you feel comfortable with and trust is often the most important factor in counseling. Having a good relationship with your therapist will allow you to have a safe place to explore and change. I will work with you to develop such a relationship where you feel heard and understood. I believe in building on clients' strengths and using what is already working to facilitate change. Feel free to call or email me so we can discuss how counseling will benefit you.

Thank you for visiting --- Marilyn

Marilyn Yearian is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington.  Marilyn has completed a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling.  While working primarily with children, adolescents, and parents, Marilyn earned her counseling license in 2012. Marilyn has 10+ years of experience working in the mental health field with areas of interest being general psychotherapy practice, child and adolescent counseling, individual counseling, depression, anxiety disorders, grief and loss, postpartum depression and anxiety, and women's health.

Marilyn's approach to counseling with adults is eclectic or blended. This approach allows Marilyn to use different techniques tailored to each individual client. Marilyn often uses Family Systems Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in her work with clients.

When working with young children Marilyn uses play therapy. Play is a child’s natural means of expression and helps children communicate their feelings more easily through toys instead of words.
